What's inside

Twelve parts: the plan first, then the recipes

Part I tells you what to cook tonight and what to buy on Saturday. Every dinner in it points to its recipe in the parts that follow, so you can cook straight from the plan or open the book anywhere.

  • The 12-Week Dinner Plan. Twelve weeks, 84 dinners for a family of four. Each week starts with the budget, $90, and only then fills it: seven dinners, one shopping list and what each plate costs. Big pots are cooked once and eaten twice, so Monday's beans are Wednesday's dinner too.15
  • Stretch the Meat. Meat is the most expensive thing on the list, so this part gets more dinners out of every pound: cheaper cuts, turkey wings and necks, one chicken cooked into three dinners, and bones turned into stock.143
  • The dinners. Chicken and turkey fried, roasted, smothered and baked. Ground beef, chuck, round steak and pork chops, and fried fish. Every meat is cooked to the USDA's safe temperature.205
  • Greens, beans, sides and bread. Collard, turnip and mustard greens, cabbage and green beans. Red beans, black-eyed peas and the one-pot dinners that turn a little meat into eight servings. Potatoes, rice, mac and cheese, cornbread, biscuits and rolls.304
  • Desserts and the holiday table. Cobbler, banana pudding, sweet potato pie and pound cake. Then Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day for eight, one shopping list each, with the USDA's turkey thawing, roasting and leftover rules in full.491
  • Pantry, budget methods and food safety. What to keep in the cupboard, how to read a shelf tag, how to cook once for two dinners and how to scale any recipe. Then the safety rules every other part points to: the thermometer, thawing, cooling a big pot, how long food keeps, and frying without a fire.587
What you get

Everything you get for $37

One payment, and all of it downloads at once. Beside each part is what something like it costs when you buy it the usual way, one book or one plan at a time.

  • The 12-week dinner plan. 84 dinners for a family of four, a budget for every week, one shopping list a week and the cost of every plate. A 12-week printable dinner plan from a budget-cooking site is priced at $24.97 on its own. Rounded down, that is $24.$2484 dinners
  • The cookbook behind it, in large print. Every recipe the plan uses. Soul food cookbooks by other YouTube cooks sell for $25.95 and $14.99 in print and about $12.99 on Kindle. Rounded down, those three come to $51.$51Large print
  • Stretch the Meat, Holiday Tables and Food Safety. More dinners from every pound, Thanksgiving to New Year's Day for eight, and the USDA's safe temperatures in one place. Smaller cooking files sell one topic at a time: $15 for a 20-recipe soul food PDF, $14.99 for 20 chicken wing recipes and about $4.99 for a 24-page cooking ebook. Rounded down, $33.$333 parts
  • Start Here: Your First Week. A short file that opens first: how to read the book on a phone, Week 1 in full with its shopping list, and your first dinner.Opens first
  • The same book as an EPUB. The text reflows for a phone or an e-reader, so it stays readable one-handed at the stove. No extra charge and no second download to hunt for.EPUB included
Bought as seven separate books and plans, that is $108

$25, $14 and $12 for three soul food cookbooks by YouTube cooks (two in print, one on Kindle), $15 and $14 for two 20-recipe cooking PDFs, $4 for a 24-page cooking ebook, and $24 for a 12-week printable dinner plan. Real prices from each seller's own page, checked September 2026, each rounded down to the dollar. The Start Here file and the EPUB are not counted.

policy

90-day guarantee

Ninety days, long enough to cook through all twelve weeks. If the plan isn't right for your family, email ytamano.corp@gmail.com and every dollar comes back, the Holiday Dinner Planner too if you added it. No forms, no reason needed, nothing to send back. You keep the files either way.

Questions

Questions, answered honestly

I'm not good with computers. Will I manage?

Yes. Nothing ships and there is nothing to install. After you pay, the next screen has a Download button for each file, and they open on a phone, a tablet or a computer. Open the short Start Here file first: it is in large print and walks you through Week 1, down to the first dinner. If anything will not open, email ytamano.corp@gmail.com and the files will be sent to you directly.

What if I lose the file?

The same download link goes to your email right after you pay, so you can open it again from your inbox. If that is gone too, email ytamano.corp@gmail.com from the address you paid with and the files will be sent again. You can keep them on as many of your own devices as you like, and print the pages you use most.

Will my groceries really cost what the book says?

They are estimates, and the book says so under every price table. Each week's shopping list is priced item by item from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics' national average prices for August 2026, and the weeks come to $53 to $86 for a family of four. A few things the government does not price, like smoked sausage and fish, are marked as not priced rather than guessed. Your store will be higher or lower depending on where you live and what is on sale. The book never promises you will save a set amount; it gives you a budget, a list and the arithmetic, so you can check it against your own store.

What will my card statement say? Will you charge me again?

Stripe runs the checkout through its Link service, so the charge shows on your card statement as a line that reads LINK.COM* EVERYDAY DIG, and Stripe's receipt comes from Link. Your files come from us in a separate email. The book is one payment, and your card is not charged again for it. The Recipe Club on this page is a separate membership: it is only joined if you tick its own box and pick a plan, and it renews until you cancel. The Holiday Dinner Planner is an optional $10 extra at checkout, and it stays unticked unless you tick it.

What if it isn't right for my family?

Email ytamano.corp@gmail.com within 90 days and every dollar comes back, the Holiday Dinner Planner too if you added it. You keep the files. There is nothing to send back and no form to fill in.

I lost my download link. What do I do?

Open the "Lost your link?" form, type the email you paid with, and we send your download link again. It can take a minute and may land in Promotions or Spam.

Loretta's Kitchen
Who wrote it

A note from Loretta's Kitchen

I wrote this book around one question: what does a week of soul food dinners cost a family of four today? So every week of the plan starts with the budget, $90, and only then fills it, with one shopping list, every item on it priced from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics' August 2026 average prices. Every safe temperature is the USDA's, and the sources are named in the book. Where a price is not published, the book says so instead of guessing. There was never a product on this channel before this one.

Soul food cooked at home: greens, smothered dinners, cornbread and the Sunday table. The YouTube channel this book was written from.
